Never try to use a spray adhesive with these mats or your Cricut machine. Doing so would void its warranty.

Lengthening the Life of Your Cutting Mat

To lengthen the life of your cutting mat, simply turn it around and insert it in the other way. You'll notice that a full 6x12" paper is positioned directly in the center of the mat, so even though the printed indicators on the mat point one way, we designed it so you can flip it around just as easily. This is like rotating your tires on a car, it just spreads out the wear and tear.

Removing Paper

Be careful with leaving anything on the mat for too long. Any paper or cardstock left on the mat for even a day or two will become MORE stuck. It's still possible to remove, of course, but it gets pretty sticky and could result in tears or damage to the paper when removed. It's always recommended that you clean the mat off and replace the clear protective sheet when not in use.
